The shape of the crown is slightly conical and slanting to the front, with a flat circle at the top. The brim is medium width and is turned up at the sides,. There is a black and yellow grosgrain band around the crown which ends in a bow at the back. The bow ties together a spray of curly yellow feathers plus a taller black feather that has rhinestones glued to the will as shown in the photographs.
