Original 1940。This is truly an artistic burgundy felt creation from the 1940s\'. The hat consists of a piece of felt shaped into a \"Dutch\" style hat, with a rounded top. There are folded pieces of felt at each side, creating interesting curls that could resemble flowers. The main body has a fold at the back. There is an elastic band attached to the inside of the hat to help keep it in place. The wartime 40’s saw a huge variety of hats that were suitable for any face shape, hairstyle or personal preference. Throughout the war & on both sides of the Atlantic, elaborate creations brightened dreary utility fashions, brought about by rationing. The only items not rationed were hat materials.
