No issues or stains. I wore it maybe a handful of times, realizing it is still a bit too snug on my big head and could not wear it comfortably. This can be worn looser, depending on your head circumference and fitting preference. Note: I do not have the hat bag it came with anymore (but I will look again in my hat bin).
